Content Rights Policy

1. Creator Ownership

All intellectual property rights — including copyright — in your submitted film or reel remain entirely with you, the creator. Your submission to this competition does not transfer your ownership in any way.

2. The Non-Exclusive Licence You Grant

By submitting your entry, you grant Humanity First Software Tech Pvt Ltd and Bharat Family Legacy Preservation Foundation a non-exclusive, royalty-free, worldwide licence to:

• Screen your submitted film at the Grand Finale event and any official competition screenings;
• Feature excerpts or clips from your submission in official competition promotional materials, social media posts, and website content — always with full creator credit;
• Archive your submission in competition records for a period of three years.

This licence does NOT include:

• Commercial exploitation or sale of your work;
• Licensing your work to third parties;
• Modification of your work beyond minor technical adjustments (e.g., format conversion);
• Any use not directly related to the National Reels & Short Film Competition 2026.

3. Social Media Featuring

Select entries may be featured on the official NRSFC 2026 social media channels. This is always done with full creator credit and is in line with the licence described above. If you wish to opt out of social media featuring, you may indicate this in your submission form. Your opt-out will be respected.

4. Music Rights

You are solely responsible for ensuring that all music used in your submission is original, licensed, royalty-free, or otherwise cleared for use in a competition context. The Organiser accepts no liability for music rights violations by creators. Submissions found to contain unlicensed music may be disqualified.

5. People Appearing in Your Video

You must obtain informed consent from all people who appear in your submitted film or reel. This consent should cover: being filmed, appearing in a competition entry, and the possibility that the film may be publicly screened or featured online. By submitting your entry, you confirm that all such consents have been obtained. The Organiser's Consent Policy provides guidance on how to obtain and document consent.

6. Withdrawal of Submission

If you wish to withdraw your submission after final submission, please contact us immediately. Withdrawal requests will be considered on a case-by-case basis and are not guaranteed once jury review has commenced.

7. Disputes

Any dispute regarding content rights shall be governed by the laws of India and subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts of Mumbai, Maharashtra.
