These Terms & Conditions ("Terms") govern your participation in the National Reels & Short Film Competition 2026 ("the Competition"), organised by Humanity First Software Tech Pvt Ltd, Mumbai, India ("the Organiser"), in association with Bharat Family Legacy Preservation Foundation ("the Co-Organiser"). By registering for the Competition, you agree to be bound by these Terms.
1. Eligibility
- The Competition is open to individuals aged 18 years and above who are Indian citizens or Non-Resident Indians (NRIs).
- Employees, directors, and immediate family members of the Organiser and Co-Organiser are not eligible to participate as competitors.
- Participants under the age of 18 may participate only through an institution (Campus Challenge) under adult supervision.
- Participants must provide accurate registration information. Providing false information may result in disqualification.
2. Registration
- Registration is completed through the official competition website at nationalreelsfilm.com.
- Each participant may make only one registration per email address and mobile number.
- Registrations are confirmed only upon successful payment verification by the server. Browser redirects to a success page do not constitute payment confirmation.
- The Organiser reserves the right to refuse or cancel any registration at its discretion.
3. Registration Fee and Payment
- A registration fee is charged per entry. The current fee is displayed at the time of registration.
- Payment is processed securely through the Cashfree Payment Gateway.
- The registration fee is non-refundable except as stated in the Refund & Cancellation Policy.
- The Organiser is not responsible for payment gateway failures, delays, or errors caused by third-party payment providers.
4. Submission Requirements
- Entries must be submitted through the official creator dashboard before the submission deadline.
- Entries must be original works created by the registered participant(s).
- Films and reels must relate to one of the approved competition themes.
- Accepted formats: Short Reel (under 90 seconds), Short Film (90 seconds – 10 minutes), Documentary Segment (10 – 20 minutes).
- All people appearing in submissions must have provided their informed written or recorded consent.
- All music used must be original, licensed, royalty-free, or otherwise cleared for use in competition submissions.
- Entries that include defamatory, obscene, politically sensitive, or illegal content will be disqualified without refund.
- Participants may submit only one entry per registration.
5. Intellectual Property and Licence
- Participants retain full copyright ownership of their submitted films and reels.
- By submitting, participants grant the Organiser a non-exclusive, royalty-free licence to screen, display, and reference submitted content for competition-related purposes, including screening at the Grand Finale, promotional materials, and social media posts — with appropriate creator credit.
- This licence does not extend to commercial exploitation of participants' work without separate written agreement.
- Participants represent and warrant that they hold all necessary rights to their submitted content.
6. Judging and Results
- All eligible submissions will be reviewed by the National Family Story Jury.
- Jury decisions are final and binding. No correspondence regarding individual scores or decisions will be entered into.
- Private jury scoring is not publicly disclosed.
- The Organiser reserves the right to modify judging criteria, stage thresholds, or timelines with reasonable notice to participants.
7. Code of Conduct
- Participants must conduct themselves respectfully in all competition-related communications and community spaces.
- Harassment, abuse, or inappropriate behaviour will result in immediate disqualification without refund.
- Attempts to manipulate the judging process will result in disqualification.
8. Privacy
The Organiser's collection and processing of your personal data is governed by the Privacy Policy. By registering, you consent to data processing as described therein.
9. Limitation of Liability
The Organiser is not liable for any technical failures, data loss, or other issues arising from circumstances beyond its reasonable control. The total liability of the Organiser to any participant shall not exceed the amount of the registration fee paid by that participant.
10. Changes to These Terms
The Organiser reserves the right to update these Terms at any time. Updated Terms will be published on the competition website. Continued participation following an update constitutes acceptance of the revised Terms.
11. Governing Law
These Terms are governed by the laws of India. Any disputes arising from or relating to these Terms or the Competition shall be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts of Mumbai, Maharashtra.
